Adding Sounds to the Countdown Clock

I have only had my board for a few weeks and am excited about the clock option. I want to use the countdown clock and then insert my own sound file to play when time expires. I downloaded some short wav. files from Microsoft, but when I browse for the sound I want, I can't find it anywhere. I know they are there because I have added them to "My Sounds" in Activstudio. Any suggestions?

If you haven't moved them all the "my" resources should be in your documents. Just push the box next to the drop down and navigate to the through "activstudio3" (in my documents) to "my sounds"

Thanks, I finally figured it out and the kids love hearing a song when it is time to clean up.

When my students take fact tests, we set the clock to play the Macarena. When the timer goes off, we all dance. Quite a sight, good exercise, and the kids look forward to taking facts tests!

That sounds like fun!

I like that you can put your own sounds in the countdown clock. You can even record your students voices yelling STOP!!! and use those - fun!

You can put those sound files directly into the folder that opens when the Clock is being set:
Local Disk (C)
Program Files
Activsoftware
Activ (primary/studioPE3)
Sounds

You will see the standard sounds already there, and can Paste your own sounds into that folder.

When I use my timer it doesn't give me the option of sounds. I pull down the menu and it says either 'No Sounds' or 'Info". The other sounds are not listed. Any ideas how to get those sounds back?

You need to browse to the folder where your sounds are ... it will then remember this the next time. I have downloaded alot of sounds and keep them in a folder in My Docs.
