Yes. Many publishers include a Examview CD with questions with the teacher's edition of the text book.
To be able to import an examview .tst file into Inspire, the examview software version has to be version 5.x or lower. The ability to export the .tst file as an .xml file was taken away in the newer versions of Examview. If you have an older version of Examview, then you can create a test or open a compatible examview testbank and then export the file as .xml. Inspire professional edition can then import it to a flipchart and then can be used with Activotes or Expressions.

The Examview Test Generator we are using is from Prentice Hall Publishers. It is part of their Teacher's Express package.

you need to check your version on the examview software. same process opening the application and click on help and then on about to see what the version is. If it is not at least 2 years old then probably too new. Examview stopped providing the option to export to .xml

Can someone from Promethean tell us the future plans for the Activ software interface with ExamView? Do you have a workaround for now? Do you have plans to interface with another assessment tool?

A workaround would be to use Examview player to run your examview file.
Then you can use Inspire's express poll to run over the examview player application. This will present one question at a time full screen view. Let me know if you need more help on this.

Are there any plans to allow importing from Examview versions later than 5?

Unfortunately we dont have control over Examview application and its export feature to xml.
Inspire can import examview.xml file if it is provided by the application. If you have a lot of questions in Examview versions later than 5.0, then you can still use Inspire and Activexpression/Activotes without the need to import the questions into Inspire. Here are the steps: -Open your examview .tst files ( version 5 or higher) -Using Examview , publish this .tst file as a test as if you are publishing the test for delivery over the local network. -This will generate a new file with a .eot format. -Examview has a application called "examview player". Use Examview player to open this .eot file. -This will present your questions on full screen and show one question at a time. Now start 'Express Poll" as an overlay over the Examview Player screen and start voting with either Activexpressions or Activote. Hope this makes sense

What are Promethean's plans for future interface(s) with an Assessment tool(s) since later releases of ExamView do include feature to export to xml?

I did not find the Exam View Player to be useful in the classroom because the text was too small to read from around the classroom.
