Hi all,
I am planning on using my extended desktop this coming year but have found a problem. AS2 will not allow the toolbar or flipchart to be positioned on the extended desktop. Is ther a workaround for this or shoulld I put this into the requested features forum?
Thanks.

Maybe I misunderstand what you are asking but if by 'extended desktop' you are refering to having your desktop extend over two monitors. I have never used it myself but I know that the the tools can work over the two monitors. I helped a sporting team set up a situation where they played game video on the second monitor and use the camera tool on the second desktop to capture key frames for later analysis. They never tried to move the toolbar over to the 2nd monitor, but the individual tools seemed to work on both, at least the ones tried. It was about 18 months ago, but if I remember correctly they may have used annotate over desktop too on the second desktop.
If this is what you are talking about I also notice that in V2.5 in the studio settings you have 'multiple monitors' setting which should give you greater capacity to work over two monitors.
If using multiple monitors is not what you were talking about, my apologies.
Peter
Thanks
I do mean having your desktop extend over two monitors. I need the flipchart and toolbar on the board, not on the monitor.
I am sure someone has solved this it is such a suseful way of working!
Thanks

I just checked, If you have defined 2 monitors, within the Studio Settings - Multiple Monitors you can specify which monitor you have your flipcharts open on (1 or 2). You can drag the tool bar over to what ever monitor you want. I even openned two flipcharts on my second monitor and then dragged one of them back to monitor 1 and both seemed to work fine. I found that when working with two fipcharts, one on each monitor, I had to set most of the other 'multiple monitor' settings to 'mouse monitor' otherwise the resource library would not always open on the screen I wanted it to.
Certainly playing with the Multiple Monitors is the way to solve your problem
Have fun
Peter
Thanks Peter
I have set it up now and it is working. Just a few niggles but easily overcome. Great for presentations and can now do 2 things at once!

I set up the multiple monitors, but I can't calibrate my board to the extended monitor.... I can use my mouse on the extended monitor, but not on the board itself. Clearly I want to be able to use my board and not the mouse. I have all the multiple monitor settings in the software set to monitor 2, but when I go to calibrate... it calibrates on monitor 1!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the new version........ I like the multiple monitor feature. But I can not calibrate my board in extended viewing... When I go to the calibration it does it only on monitor 1.
