Well, there are a couple of ways to do this now but I'll tell you that if you wait just a few more days, you will be able to import the pdfs directly into ActivInspire and then be able to EASILY annotate on them or use any of the tools (as well as add decorative touches, page notes etc.)
PDF import will be available in version 1.2 and this is expected really soon!
I used this in the past on my Mac using ActivStudio and it was very impressive. I was able to import with one click an entire multiple page pdf either as a brand new flipchart, at the beginning or end of the current flipchart or select just the pages of the pdf document I wanted. [clap]
I am REALLY looking forward to seeing this new feature. What a timesaver!

Hi Samantha,
First launch the pdf file.
Then launch Activinspire.
There is a blue icon in the toolbar of Inspire at the top right . This is called the desktop tool icon.
I have attached a picture for you.
If you click this desktop tool icon, you will now be able to see your pdf file and you will also see Inspire's toolbar.
Now you can grab any annotation tool and annotate on your pdf file.
You can also save the annotations you make on this pdf file as a desktop flipchart file.

Or, you can open Inspire and open your pdf, then use the desktop tools to take a snapshot of the pdf and insert the snapshot on a flipchart page...just a thought

You might want to open the dashboard now and select 'Check for updates' under the configure section. PDF Import is one of the new features available with the 1.2 version of the software. This should make the process easier for you :)
Hope this helps

Thank you. I was able to use it in class Friday before I knew about the release. It was the first time using the smart board with my students and they loved it. I used Saha's directions. My school said they are upgrading 1.2 over the weekend [clap].
