Adding a flash file to a flipchart page on ActivInspire on Windows adds that flash object to the page. Adding it on the Linux version of the software seems to add a blank small white box that doesn't do anything.
I go to the Insert menu, and then Media, and then I find the flash (swf) file on my computer.
I know that when I used to use SMARTBoard Notebook software, their linux version didn't have flash support. Is that the same thing with ActivInspire?
Thanks.

According to my colleagues in software, Flash is not supported, and the white frame you see should not appear :-(
Flash support will come in a future release (not in the 1.2 we have just released).
Hello "bleucanard"
Flash support will come in a future release (not in the 1.2 we have just released).
let's talk about the future ;-) .....
WIN Version is now at version 1.4 - Linux ist still on 1.2.
When do you expect an update for linux ?!

Frank,
openSuse is not supported by Promethean.
Should you use Ubuntu or Debian, you will notice that they are both on ActivInspire 1.4.
It has been decided (not by me) that we will not provide newer versions for non-supported distributions.
If the establishment you work for has a need for an openSuse solution, please contact Promethean Sales about your specific need, and maybe we can add openSuse to the list of supported distributions.
