Hide the pen in ActivInspire

Is it possible to hide the pen when you are writing in ActivInspire? I knew where it was in Activstudio but I have not found it in ActivInpire? If so, can you tell me how so that I can pass it along to the teachers at my school?

Unfortunately, I don't believe this is a feature in ActivInspire.

For us elementary math guys, this is particularly annoying. I hope someone from the developer reads this and includes a way to hide the pen similar to what we had in activeStudio.

The more I use this, the more I am annoyed by the pen. When solving algebra problems at the board, the pen lies on top of the last thing the student writes, often covering up a number or symbol. PLEASE find us a way to hide that pen!

I think that's one of the things they haven't added back into AI yet. When I'm at the board, when I'm finished writing something, I casually move the pen near a different portion of the surface, away from the writing, so it won't be in the way of what I've just written.

Yes of course it is possible.

Go to Files/Settings/Tools. Then select Default Tool as Select That's all. Clear?

No, the default tool you select in File->Settings->Tools -- the one you're talking about -- is the one that will be chosen when you first open AI. We're talking about a way, ideally, of changing the pen setting so that it doesn't even show up when you're using the pen tool. You can turn it off in Activstudio. My comment was about a workaround I do to get the pen image out of the way of what I've just written.

I am a 1st/2nd grade teacher who used ActivPrimary, and I loved the fact that I could hide the pen. I am VERY disappointed that I apparently can't hide it in Inspire. Please add this feature to Inspire.

Our math teachers also liked the feature in ActivStudio that allowed for not showing the pen when using it. It is a feature that we would like to see added to ActivInspire.

I'm very disappointed. I'm using ActivInspire 1.4 since the beginning of the week and my greatest wish was to find the option to HIDE THE PEN ! :mad: :mad: :mad: Very frustrating ! You did not make this change in the new version ! I wish I could find it in the next version ! (Hopefully very soon !.. Next week ???:):):))
