Normally when you print a flipchart page you will find that it does not cover the whole area of the paper. You might think that to overcome this all you need to do is to print one flipchart page to each paper page, in Landscape mode and to ensure the Flipchart page margin and the Printer Page Setting margins are all set to zero.

However, even after applying all these settings it is likely that there will still be a margin on the print out.

If you definitely want the whole of the paper to be printed on, one other thing you have to do is to ensure that the aspect ratio of your flipchart page matches that of the paper you are printing to.

As an example, a piece of A4 paper measures 297 x 210 mm which is an aspect ratio of 1.414:1. My flipchart pages tend to be 1024x768 pixels which is an aspect ratio of 1.333:1. So I need to alter my flipchart page size to be the same ratio as the paper. I can either alter the width or the height. I’ll alter the width. So I multiply the height of the flipchart page (768) by the aspect ratio of the paper (1.414).

768 x 1.414 = 1086.

Therefore I need to set the flipchart page width to be 1086 pixels in the ActivInspire Page Browser properties.

Now when I print the page I will find that it completely covers the paper.
