How long after you submit a lesson to Promethean Planet does it take for it to submit. My district is holding a contest for those that write lessons and submit to PP, and it requires a URL address. I submitted my lesson this afternoon and was wondering how long it will be until I can obtain the URL and see it on PP. Thanks for your help..

Typically, I would guess no more than 2 "working days" so it "should" be live by end of Tuesday if you submitted on Sunday.

Do we receive any type of confirmation after submitting a flipchart? I finally worked up the nerve to submit a flipchart this past weekend, but I'm not sure if it was received. After my computer sat there for a few minutes after I hit the submit button, my computer reverted to a previous screen.

I have submitted a few flipcharts and have not received any confirmation. I just check every couple of days until they show up. It only takes one or two days. Have the courage to post them. We like all flipcharts, :D

Well, I am still not sure if they accepted my flipchart as it is not posted yet. I'm wondering if something is still wrong with my user account. When I first registered, somehow I created a UK account and a US account. Cliff was really nice and deleted the UK account. So, I wonder if that is an issue... Hopefully someone from Promethean can chime in.

Hmmm. That's really strange. What was the name of your flipchart? I can see if I can find it "behind the scenes." Did a thank you screen come up after you submitted. Because maybe it didn't submit entirely. Was it a really big file?

Lisa,
No, I did not get a thank you screen. So, maybe it didn't even go through. It is called, "If I Were in Charge of the World." When I looked, the file is only 3.58 mb, so it's not that big. If you could find out something about the flipchart and my user profile, I would greatly appreciate the help.

I checked through all of pending and live submissions about a month back and don't see anything that looks anything like that. Perhaps something timed out on your connection during the submission process. I would re-submit it. After the submission, it should give you a thank you page. Something like "Thank you for your submission."
If you let me know, I can validate it quickly so it doesn't get put at the end of the line. (However, I don't see much backlogged right now for the US.)

Lisa,
Thanks so much for checking for me! That makes me feel better that I at least have a definite answer. I think I see what the problem is. When I click on submit a lesson, even though I am logged in, it asks me to log in again. When I do it and check the subject areas available, they are the UK subjects. I know this because when I looked at the dropdown, I see the subject, "Maths" which I have learned is the UK version of Math here in the US.:) So, if someone can fix my user profile, I think it would work. Cliff Farrand had fixed it back in January '09, but there seems to be something lingering in Promethean's system. ????

On the homepage where you log in, there should be something that says "Edit Account." Can you check to see if you are listed as being located in the US?

Lisa,
I just looked in the "Edit Account," and it says US.
I tried to submit again, and got the thank you screen just now.[clap] I' m not sure which side it is on, US or UK, but if you could check again, I'd be so grateful.

I am SOOOOO excited!!! This is my first attempt at submitting a flipchart. It took me almost two weeks to build it and I finally had to stop tweeking and tweeking. So, I finally said, "I think this is it." I just checked and there were over 200 views, and 28 people have already downloaded it! I hope people find the project as useful as I have. My students and parents enjoy the finished product because we have the poems on display in the hallway for Open House.
Lisa, here's A BIG THANK YOU, for your help. I value your advice and assistance you give to us here on the forum.
