Blockbusters Game

I once found the Blockbusters (word game) but now I can't find it. So I have 3 questions - if you can help me any of them I'd be most grateful.

1 Where is Blockbusters in ActivInspire?
2 Is there a way I can search the Resources by putting in a keyword e.g. 'Blockbusters', 'golf'
3 The last time I succeeded in finding Blockbusters I couldn't get it to work ie the hexagons wouldn't change colour and I couldn't see any way to edit the letters. Any tips?

There seems to be an Activity Template called Blockbusters in the ActivInspire Resource Library.

In the library, navigate: Activities and Templates>Activities>Other Activities>Blockbusters.

There are page notes with the template explaining how it works.

If you want the full blown Blockbuster game experience with sound and changing hexagon colors in addition to creating and editing your own games from scratch, you may want to look into the standalone Blockbuster application from Robert Powell Publications.

The original Blockbusters application was provided with Activstudio. It is a separate program so you can run it on its own but you will first need to create a Blockbusters activity using the Activity Wizard.

If you've installed Activstudio, the Activity Wizard is here:

C:\Program Files\Activ Software\ActivstudioPE3\AWizard.exe

Is the Activity Wizard available for users who only have ActivInspire on their computers?

The Activity Wizard is there for people who have Activstudio Professional installed on their computer.

I have never seen the Activity Wizard on Mac for Activstudio though. Does anyone know about that?

The Activity Wizard has been a hidden gem.
Sorry Lisa, it appears that like 'Activmarker", the "Activity Wizard" is a feature ( add on app) just for Windows users of Activstudio.

I have just made a sample game "Question of" which is a game like Blockbusters using the Activity Wizard of Activstudio PE.

These games are great for whole class activity.

I was able to make this game and then make it playable from both a Activstudio Flipchart and a Activinspire Flipchart. The only requirements for you to enjoy this with your students are:

-Have Activstudio PE installed on Windows platform
-Have sound card /speakers to enjoy the audio
-Activboard
- A classroom of students who love games:)

I have attached both a Studio and Inspire format flipchart as a demo.
