What happened?
A metaphor shower, or did the server just come to a full stop?
A major apostrophe, whatever the reason (or was it the Forum re-organisation happening…)

My guess is that school just started up in the US (or is about to in some area) and traffic is pretty massive. I've been experiencing slowness (and stoppage at times myself). However, depending on the time of day, it seems normal. I've noticed that the registration numbers have risen pretty quickly in the last few days, too. Over 375,000 members now. Time to invest in more servers? :D

It has happened again - the sitemap appears at the top of the screen and I need to browse down to find the Forum toolbar...
Is this an antipodean special, or is it a worldwide phenomenon?

It seems to be responding for me at the moment! I'm in Ohio!

We are adding more hardware and several other configuration changes to try to keep pace with the onslaught!
We seem pretty stable now but still slow unfortunately - that will improve I assure you!

Thanks Cliff - good to know that Planet is so popular, but I still have the problem of the sitemap appearing above the Forum.
The image shows the first screen that I see, and I need to scroll down another whole screen to see the Forum tabs :(
Could it be a browser issue? Has only recently appeared and is rather frustrating. Any advice welcome.

That looks like the sites CSS is not rendering do you have javascript disabled or a high security setting in your browser - also try other browser to see if its a browser related issue - anyone else seeing this?
