I see that the Planet team has introduced a new Where's Flippy? clue! (Cannot divulge the clue or location but you foreign language or ELL teachers might want to check it out!)
Find Flippy by following the clue. Then submit a flipchart about the new topic. Really easy way to win stuff! Share this with other teachers from your school so you have a better chance to win valuable stuff! (Activotes, Activslate or the new Actiview visualizer!)
The last clue was about Algebra. We should find out who the winner for this topic was soon!

I'm really excited about this Flippy contest because it has a direct relationship to the students I teach (I won't give away the clue!). However, when I click on the lesson template link, it takes me back to the original page. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

Hmm. When I clicked on the link, it automatically downloaded the templates to my desktop. Here is another link directly to the templates:

Hi Lisa,
Thank you so much! That worked for me. I have no idea why it didn't work last night. Maybe my computer was just cranky? :D

So if you won the Where's Flippy? contest, which prize would you choose?
Here's what the first winner chose:

Hmmmm....tough question. Right now I have a trial set of ActivExpressions, so Activotes might be what I would choose if I'm not able to get the funds to pay for the AE's. Otherwise, I think I might try the ActiveSlate. We have a new principal this year (haven't met her yet), and hopefully she's pro-technology. As it stands, since I'm the only one in the district with an ActiveBoard, I doubt I'll get any help from central office. *Sigh* One could only hope.:D

LisaD, I wonder if you could help with my query?
I love the map of Planet members on the Where's Flippy? page, and I see that there's one member in the tiny French town where I'm currently on holiday. Is there any way I can find out their username and send a private message? I've checked the Members page, but I can't see how to do this without knowing the username.
(It's raining - ideal for sharing flipchart ideas!)

I don't think that they release personal details. But that would be cool. Which French town are you in? I used to live in France and know some of the Promethean folks over there.

After the first "Where's Flippy?" a winner was announced on Planet. I believe there have been three locations since then but I haven't seen any winners announced. Did I miss it? :)

Yes we have two new winners, and they have both won fab new ActivClassroom equipment[clap]
But I'm not telling you who they are! You will have to wait until this months edition of the Orbiter eNewsletter comes out at the end of the month - to find out who they are :-/
BTW - it's not to late to enter this month... the clue is:
“Where is the official 75th anniversary of the relocation of Captain Cook’s Cottage taking place this year?”
All you have to do is find Flippy, download his template then submit a lesson that answers his question. Good luck!:D

I can't wait to see who won. :D {}
For the current clue, how much time do folks have to play? Is there a deadline for the Captain Cook clue?
Also, I was wondering if folks might be able to choose the ActivArena upgrade (you know the "kit" that allows folks to use "dual user" on the Activboard? That would be a cool prize. (Of course a set of Activotes or the new ActivView document camera/visualizer are super cool, too!) [clap][clap]

Can we see the winning flipcharts? I tried searching for them, but I don't see them! :) Also, are the flipcharts that were submitted to the contest going to be posted, or should they be posted separately to Planet?
