Design Mode Help Please!

I am such a dink, I did something to the design mode tool bar and now all I get is a grey bar at the top. It doesn't help to quit and go back in. :confused:

Try going through the following steps: view> customize> layout > make sure that the document tab is check as visible.

My customize doesn't have a layout option. OK how do I get out of presentation mode.

To get out of presentation mode:
Go to main menu
Select design mode
