If you dont have those specific cleaning products or a whiteboard-sized dishwasher there are a few other things you can try.

First, always start with the least caustic agent... meaning water. See if that works.
Remember, never use anything abrasive, like a gritty pad. Also, try not to let anything drip down into the electronics and watch when spraying anything near the upper left flame.

Sometimes, people have luck by writing over dryerase marker with another dry erase marker. It moistens it and allows it to be wiped off.

If all else fails, I know people use whiteboard cleaner and possibly even window cleaner.
Please consult your manual with anything further, as I'd hate for anything to be ruined due to improper use/cleaning.

I use Pledge Multi-Surface Wipes. A more seasoned Promethean board user told me this trick a couple of years ago. She said it cleans the board really well and helps the pen move over the board's surface easier.:)

I almost use a Pledge on my Activboard, but someone mention on the forum that is leave a surface of flim on the Activboard. I don't know about Pledge Multi-Surface Wipes. Anyway, we don't get this in Singapore.
