I am attempting to imbed a sound to an object, so that when the object is clicked, the sound will play. I have chosen my sounds through the resource library in ActivPrimary, and know that I have to double click on the object I want to imbed the sound in. I've clicked on properties and can go to 'actions' and 'play sound', but when I go to set the sound, it will not take the one I want. It seems like I have to choose a file already saved on my hard drive. I can try to get one from ActivPrimary software that way, but there were only 6 or 7 to choose from. Unfortunately, these choices won't work for what I'm trying to do. Please help! How do I imbed a sound from the resource library behind an object?

Hi Klarenda,
It sounds like you are doing the first part of the embedding correctly. The problem is probably where you are looking on your hard drive for the sounds.
Sounds are stored in ActivPrimary in two places. There are a few sounds used for the clock (and my guess is that these are the ones you are accessing at the moment). These are stored at
C:\Program Files\Activ Software\Activprimary3\Sounds
The other sounds (the ones you want) are in a different place on your hard drive, with all of the rest of your ActivPrimary resources.
My path for ActivPrimary shared sounds is as follows, yours is probably similar:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Activ Software\Activprimary3\Shared Sounds
When you get to this folder, you can either choose one of the folders (e.g. Domestic, Explosions) and then pick a sound from there, or use the sounds in the Shared Sounds folder (e.g. alarm clock, cheer, drum roll).
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Rosie
