background colour in activprimary

I´ve just read a thread explaining how I can add background colour to a text in activprimary. But it seems to me a lot less practical than the way we do it in activstudio where the box which offers such possibility opens automatically when you set text mode. Why can´t I do the same thing with activprimary?

The design of Activprimary is meant for younger children.

In order not to let the younger children to make a lot mistake while working on the board, the software has minimize the possibility to make any.

Of course that will lead to troublesome function whenever designer working on it.
