The removal of the "disable/enable action buttons" is enough to keep me using Studio. It's a major flaw and takes away a lot of what I do with the board. I can no longer use flipcharts that have a picture from an outside source (when I import a picture from the Internet the action button links me right back to that site). Switching to Design mode does not solve the problem because then I lose all of my other settings that don't require actions i.e. locking, and movement restrictors.

I understand your concern with switching to Design mode, but I have not had as many problems with design mode as you have. I personally think it is a bit easier to only have 1 button vs 2 (Actions on/off & Design Mode).

In understand that your locking and movemement restrictors are not active in Design mode, but if you keep that in mind while in Design mode then just be careful not to move those specific objects.

htempler - I happen to agree with you - I wish we had that ability as well. If I understand you correctly, you wish to stop the picture from going to the website. A work-around will be to import the picture (in design mode) and take a picture of it with the camera tool.

htempler and rgrondin,
Are you using a PC with the new ActivInspire?
If not, I'm on a Mac and have read your concern. I just tried dragging a picture from several internet sites into ActivInspire and there was not a link to any of them. I remember in Studio that you had to go in and remove the link after dragging something in from the internet, but haven't found that yet with Inspire.
I know that in Inspire that if you click on the blue square at the top of the window that it turns orange and shows you everything on your flipchart page that has an action. Then I've been able to click on the box and look at its Properties and Remove Existing actions. Try that.

Thanks brycep...I will try what you suggested. In terms of dragging a picture into design mode, and taking a picture of it for Presentation mode, that is one alternative, but there should be an easier way.

In regards to scaulfield, I understand your point, but I design the flipcharts for the students to use, and most of the time I don't want them to know the restrictors...design mode defeats that purpose.

Thanks for the feedback.
