Hi all,
A colleauge has Inspire installed on Windows Vista PC. When they try to run Inspire they get the following error message "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect" I searched the forums for a solution but no results were returned. Anyone got any ideas.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi again,
I am reposting in the hope that some of the Promethean technical people can help my colleague out on this one.
Thanks in anticipation.

Have you tried to repair the ActivInspire installation?
To do this go into Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Select ActivInspire v1 -> Click the Repair button at the top.
If you get a Windows Installer message saying "The Feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" this is because the install cannot find the original installation package.
To fix this if you used the 'Web Download' installer, simply run the download again to let it unpack its contents to the users 'Temp' folder (don't go any further than the Welcome Screen) and then click 'OK' on the above message box.
If the same message still pops up you will have to use the 'Browse...' button on the dialog to manually navigate to the ActivInspire.msi file that's been unpacked in the temp folder.
Hopefully that might sort it out.
Neil.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for your reply. I'll pass on your suggested solution to my colleague and post back on how we get on.

John.
