I want to build a flipchart where I will come back to a main page after each page. How do I do that? I don't want to insert the main page after each page just be able to hit a button to get back to it.
Please help
Thanks

You can put an arrow (or appropriate image) on a page and give it the action to "go to first page" and then copy that arrow/icon to all of the pages.
Let me know if you need further info about how to do that.

Like Lisa says, you'll want to use an action object to return to the first page. You can then add this object to your resource library or your shortcut bar in order to reuse it more easily.

Thanks, what about getting back to the page I was on, once I go to the 1st page? I couldn't find a choice for that.

I'm afraid that there isn't an option to go back to the previous page you were on; you'd either need to create links to each page from the first page or use the page browser. An alternative is to create a flipchart with just that first page, then switch between the two flipcharts to go back and forth (Either using the tabs in Activinspire or the Arrange button in Activstudio).

See if the action "Page History Back" won't do the trick.

If you do want to create a link on each page that will take you to the home page, not need to create it every time. Just create it once, then open up the browser. You can drag and drop that icon to all the other pages. It should make a copy on the new page. This way you only have to create it once, then copy it as many time as you like! :)

Don't let me step on Scott's toes, but I think that's only in Inspire. Which raises the question, which software are you using?

You can copy items from one page to another in V3.
Daniel, you are stepping on my toes like my High School Prom Date! (Not really, but that joke was to good to resist! :)

See, I learn something new everyday. I did not know that you could do that using the page browser in v3. Thanks, Scott!
I actually learned 2 things today, the second being don't challenge a TLC on software knowledge.

The key with moving objects from page to page in V3, is that you can only do it through the page selector, not the page organizer. You can choose to copy it to a new page, or move it.
On the Mac, you will need to grab the object by the hand on top.
You can always challenge this TLC! That's how we learn! :) (Plus I gotta keep you on my good side for next time I have to call tech support when I am stumped! :) )

Lisa is right. Page History Back is something that is often not understood but does exactly what it says. It will take you back to whatever page you came from. So if every page on your flipchart has a Page History Back object, you can visit any page in any order, by any means, then simply hit the Page History Back object(s), to back track through your page navigation. Think of it like the 'Back' arrow button in a Web Browser. Don't forget 'Page History Forward', which only works if you have used 'Page History Back' (as per Web Browser 'Forward' arrow button).

If you are using v.3 make sure you disable actions before you drag/copy your back arrow, or you'll keep going to the front page when you click on it!
