I have recently begun trying to switch to Inspire from Studio. I love the new layout, much more user friendly and customizable. I'm having great difficulty, both at the board and even at my teacher computer in dragging objects as well as erasing. The object can take up to 15 seconds to catch up to where the mouse pointer is (same goes for erasing items).
I also had difficulty in recording videos through the ActivStudio and was hoping it be fixed in Inspire and it does not seem to be. There is a 2 to 3 second delay in what is written on the board and the sound recorded (sound is what is behind). I have played around with all the different check boxes in the record menu and could not get it to improve.
Any help would be great.
Thanks for listening.

Are you using a Mac or PC?

I have this problem too on my Mac, only it only happens on the board, not at the computer. I asked this same question 3 weeks ago and am still waiting for some ideas...

I'm on the OSX platform (10.5.4)
The computer is pretty fast (new this summer) so speed shouldn't be an issue.
Here the other info on the computer I'm on:

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2

Boot ROM Version: IM71.007A.B03
SMC Version: 1.20f4

I have also noticed a delay in the reward sounds associated with objects. Most times I am saying, "I thought there was a sound with that," and moving on to the next page before it actually plays. Any ideas?

Hi, had the same problem.
Inspire has it's own handwriting recognition now and it seems it doesn't get along with the Mac's build in.
Try to switch off Ink.

Great, thanks! That fixed the tool/drag delay. Any ideas on getting the video and sound to match up?
