In ActivInspire, I find that some words appear in red, no matter what I try. I can change the color for the rest of the sentence, but not specific words. Interestingly enough, they are specific words like flipchart and ActivInspire.
Sometimes the letter t stays red too.

At the same time, I have trouble with some text boxes keeping the size and shape I selected. No matter how I change it, it pops back to a long text box across the screen.

Any suggestions? or this just a bug in the software?

Just a wild guess - wrong computer - could it be the spell checker causing the words to go red? Go to FIle, Settings, Spell Checker, and see if the auto spell check is checked. If it is, uncheck and try again.

Wow, you were correct, it was the spellcheck! It didn't help to turn off the spellcheck, but it did help to run spellcheck on the document.

In ActivInspire, that is from the Tools Menu > More Tools > Spell Check Flipchart. Once you add or ignore the words, you still have to change the color from red, but at least it works!

AHA! I saw this problem on someone else's computer, and could not, for the life of me, figure this out!

Thanks for reminding me of the dynamic spellchecker!

Hi,
I am a Mac user. I had the same trouble with the red text and turned off the auto spellchecker to fix it. I have not been able to find a solution to the text boxes that seem to grow and strink at will. I have imported text from ActivStudio 3 and that seems to work a little better. But generally you can resize and adjust the text box and get it to look perfect and then save it. When you come back it has grown off the page or out of shape again. Are there any work arounds? Also, on my Mac font sizes go up in much smaller increments in ActivStudio than Inspire. Are we going to eventually get greater control of the inbetween sizes?

Thanks,
