Because students can download the personal edition of Inspire for free at home, and work with it at home, we hope to begin to have students use Inspire more for presentations and other assignments. For students who have poor or no internet access at home, can we put the personal edition of Inspire on a CD for students to take home?

I think that Promethean was hoping to capture # of user downloads by having individuals register on the Planet before they could download Inspire... So I am not sure how they distribution of Inspire Disks created in house would be... I can check and get back on the thread if you like... And I am sure that someone else might chime in as well..

Joe, Can you check please? It would be good to have the authoritative word on this. Thanks.

Thanks for checking and I'm so glad it may be possible - go, Promethean!.

If it helps, I know we would be willing to let Promethean know numbers of disks we give out -- maybe that could be folded in somehow to the policy. It would be great! if we could do this.

Cheers,
Barbara

On way around this, is if you have a computer lab at school, you could have the students log on and download the .exe file and burn it to a disc there at school. Of you could have them do it one at a time, if you let them borrow a small USB drive. Just a few work-arounds.
