Hmmmm...I have tried 5 times to download the Professional Version. I'm using a valid Inspire Serial Number and I'm choosing, "I have a valid serial number" when downloading. It goes through the entire process and downloads the program. Then, I click on it to open Inspire. The lightning bolt does it's cool thing but then it disappears and I'm left with a screen where I'm asked for Name, Organization and Serial Number. Once I put that in, my only choices are Personal Edition, Buy Now or 10 Day Trial.
This happens EVERY time. Support on the phone has not helped. I know there are big differences between Personal and Professional and I'm eager to find out what they are. Can anyone help?????

once you enter a valid serial number and your name and organisation you should click the OK button on the right hand side - are you not seeing that button?

I had the same problem. After downloading it the first time, the same option for putting in the serial number came up again. I put it in again and hit enter and that time it worked. I had tried to get it about 3 or 4 times myself. It was quite frustrating. Someone also suggested that I shut down completely after downloading. Im a PC user.

are you entering an inspire number or a v3 number?
If you are trying to enter a v3 number then this won't work. You need to go back to the website & enter it in there. Then you'll get an inspire number sent to you by email. This will then enable the ok button in the inspire license screen.

I'm going to agree with Louise on this one, most of the calls I've taken regarding this have been people using their old v3 SN. Use the serial number that comes up with your download page, and that is sent to you via e-mail, that starts with 0015.
Another thing that I believe I've seen once or twice is a permissions issue. When you input your licensing, the software needs access to a specific folder to write a file containing the information. So probably best if you are still having difficulties to try it logged in as an administrator.

Afternoon enseye - I have a document that outlines the differences between personal and professional, Obviously students can download personal free of charge and then create/complete their homework in Inspire format. Please see attached.

I am definitely inputting an inspire number. And, there is an OKAY button, but it makes me choose personal, 10 day trial, etc before hitting Okay. No option for professional.

ah right!
clicking ok gives you the professional edition.
Just click ok, ignore the other options & enjoy:)

My school system just got (as in within the past week) ActivInspire and Boards. I'm excited and wanted to set up the personal version on my home computer so that I could use, create, and modify flipcharts. I've tried many times do download it, and it seems to work, but I can't "find" it when I look in my files or on a shortcut or anything. Help?!
If it installs fine it should also install a desktop shortcut.
Are you on a Mac or PC?
