View Full Version : Trashcan gone!!

Somehow my trashcan has disappeared and I cant figure out how to get it back. Does anyone know where I go to place it back on the screen?

Hi

If its been closed, then View - Trashcan should redisplay it for you

No trashcan under the VIEW menu.

Thats strange.

It should be the option above Dashboard. This is Flipchart Bin in my case because I am running English(UK).

Can you list the options that are available above Dashboard

You may have unchecked the "view flipchart trashcan" on the profile that you are working on.
Remember Inspire has several profiles like "authoring', "at the board"

If you go to view, customize , layout tab, you will see the option to check and uncheck the flipchart trashcan view for each profile.

Just out of interest though, I find the "trash can" (just to appease my US friends (!) :D the flipchart bin to the UK);) just disappears with no reason.... Is it me or am I inadvertently doing something that I shouldn't be :confused:

Well clearly, if nobody is having this happen in the US then yes :confused::eek: I have colleagues in the UK who have experienced a similar rubbish/trash bin/can scenario ????

I am SO GLAD we have this forum!!! My trash can "disappeared" and none of my students knew what happened.:rolleyes: So I quickly jumped on the forum and...problem solved. Thanks again...gotta go!+wave+

Margaret,

I had this problem the other day, and it was because I had changed to use my laptop with the projector with the software open. Might this be the solution to the problem, as when I do that on my computer, the Screen Resolution changes, and things tend to disappear when that happens...
