Need a little help please! I have linked a pps file to an action object on my flipchart page. I want the pps file to open directly from the action object but I can only get the link to open the Powerpoint application startup window and not go directly to the pps file. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I am working on a PC with ActivStudio3 and Microsoft Office 2007. Thanks in advance for any help.

Not too sure here, but double-click the pps file outside Inspire. See if it starts as a show or as you see it if you start it from within Inspire.
My guess is it will do the same. Perhaps you need to install the Powerpoint Player for 2007?

This is an issue with the way that Activstudio launches applications.
It works the way you want in ActivInspire.

I had my customer with the same issue----pps link from the Activestudio flipchart page NOT opening as an executable show but a ppt presentation............
Is the solution to this NOT available in AS3 at all and is Inspire the only option??

Try this: in Studio Settings, make sure that in the Linked File Hosting option you have Microsoft Powerpoint selected...
Seems to work OK on my computer.
You may need to unselect a box in the dialog box that asks if you want to Open this file... so you don't see that box every time.
