Having used ActivInspire quite a lot recently I have found a couple more things that are annoying me that I haven't seen mentioned before in the forum! Not expecting anyone to offer a solution just wanted to raise these as possible issues for a future update.

1. If you draw a shape with the shape tool it automatically adds a border, or outline, which I don't have a problem with. However if you then resize the shape the border doesn't stay the same size! I'm pretty sure it used to in AS3.

2. The colour pallette does not seem to be universlly applied. What I mean is that if I am using the pen in blue and I click on the shapes tool it switches back to black if i change it to green and then go back to the pen it switches back to blue again. I understand that this is just the software remembering the last colour state it was using for each tool and maybe I just need to get used to using it this way but I preferred the way it worked in AS3 where with the exception of the fill tool the colour seems to be universal.

3. When you start Inspire everything is "back to normal" even when you save your profile. What I mean is colour, pen size, border colour and size, style and colour of the fill and so on.

It seems as if the programmers thought about what might be best and want us to use it exactly their way because of course when the program starts with a black pen size 4 every time then one day you will be writing with size 4 black because it will be too annoying to change it again.

4. When you want to draw an arrow you have to click the shape tool, then the tiny arrow way down on the bottom of the board and then go all the way up again to click the arrow (in the Mac version of Studio I had an extra toolbar with all the lines and shapes so it was just one click).

I can't see why it is so important not to show all the lines and shapes at once but I'm sure that for an interactive boards it's just two clicks too much.

Anyway, I never understood why you can't build as much toolbars as you want and just put the tools in you like.
