Two years ago, I frequently had a problem where my board would freeze up. I would unplug the USB cord and it would start working again. My reseller came and updated the firmware to my board and the problem was healed. Since I have started using Inspire, the problem has started happening again. I have understood from previous threads along this line that updating your drivers could eliminate this problem as well. Am I correct that the driver that came with Inspire is the latest one? Would I be able to go back to an earlier driver and still run Inspire?

Thanks!

Hi Holli,

As far as I am aware the latest driver is the one with Inspire. 5.1.1.25 is the one that I have installed with Inspire. I would give Tech support in your area a call about that one. I have seen that problem before but only with an earlier driver.

Is updating the firmware to the board something we can do? Or does it have to be the reseller?

He had a CD he used. I don't know where you would obtain it.

I'm sure I've read somewhere on the Inspire forum that the Inspire driver can be replaced by the one that's currently available for download. I can't remember why it came up although I have a feeling it might have been in a LRS context.

I think Tech support are able to send you a CD to update the firmware on boards although they wouldn't do it unless you had a problem that need the new firmware.

Thanks David: Not having a specific identifiable problem yet, but I like to keep current.
