Okay, I know this is crazy.......

I teach math so I have used the images of numbers from the resource library in most of my flipcharts. I am talking about the ones in:

Shared Images
Math
Number
0_99

In Inspire, when I open my flipcharts, the number 4 (filename 04.as2) always looks like the digit itself has no background. All of the other digits are black when you take them out of the library. I have also noticed that the image of the activote with "start/stop voting" on it does the same thing. (Shared Images/Lesson Building Tools/Action Objects)

I'm attaching an example.

Try toggling the transparency - I noticed the same thing in mine when I just tested it, but when I changed the transparency they all came out with the black digits/letters.

It is strange how the 4 is the only one that does that!

Hi Holli --

It looks like transparency is turned on for all of the Action Objects in your flipchart, and the pickthrough color is black. You have to look all the way at the bottom of the property browser - it's under miscellaneous. I wish these settings were in the appearance section, which is where I think they used to be. Anyway, if you either set Transparency to False, or change the pickthrough color to something else, that should fix it.

I hope this helps!

Hi Kim --

Great minds thnk alike.:) It looked to me like the 4 was a text object grouped with a rectangle. I ungrouped them and tried to find the transparency toggle for it, but it looks like text objects may not have that option. I could be wrong on that though.

I toggled the transparency slider straight from the Resource library and it worked on all of them. Maybe something was lost in translation.
