Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the best way to import flash into a flipchart. When I place a .swf into the flipchart,(I use "place a flash placeholder" currently) it is completely blurry until we click on the file.
Is there a way for it to not be blurry from the get-go?
Thanks in advance for the help!
-Rich
Hi Rich,
You need to check the box ""start automatically".
This should do it.

Hi, Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, I tried this on SEVERAL files, and it does not work. When you stop the flash movie, or when you open the file, the flash movie is blurry. Any other words of wisdom?
Thanks for the response!

Hi Rich,
can you post the flipchart so we can take a look at it?
Thanks so much.

Hi Saha,
Attached is an example of what I am talking about. So to recap, the following steps were used in placing this flash element:
1. right clicked on page
2. selected import
3. selected flash placeholder
4. checked start automatically
Now, when I open the document it is blurry, until I click on it, almost as if it is only a screenshot....Once I click on the flash element, it clears up, and works.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Rich,
Your flipchart worked fine on my end. There was no need to click on the flash file. In fact since it was not an action object there will be no way to click on it, since you have already chosen "play automatically"
I have attached a screen recording of what I see on my end when I open your flipchart.
Could you check and see that you are on the latest version of Activstudio.
Also please check what your studio settings are for "linked file hosting" for flash.
Also please check that you have the latest flash player from adobe installed on your computer.
You can go to www.adobe.com and download the latest flash player.
attached is the screen recording of what I see on my end.

Rich, I downloaded your flipchart, opened it, and had no issues. If I click on the box, nothing changes quality - wise, and it runs. If I open it and wait, it also runs fne.
Perplexing.
BTW, I am Windows xp. v3.7.19

I figured out the problem...My actions in activStudio were turned off. Once I turned on the actions, it worked like a charm!
Thanks everyone for the feedback and help!

Wow, what a cool resource! No blurriness here, my set-up is as the previous poster's. I can't wait to use this in my classroom. Thank you.
