Hello there,
I tried searching through the threads but every time I typed "board not connected" it showed me results for "board, -connected". Anyway, I have a board that sometimes will work fine and then after pausing from using the board for writing, the pen will not work. When I go to check, it says the board is not connected. It is almost like it freezes and restarting the computer is the only solution. Does anyone have any advice on this? I check the wires and they seem to be connected. I'm stumped! Other than updating drivers and software, are there any other suggestions?

Thank you for your knowledge in advance,
Heather

Sometimes a computer's sleep and/or hibernate setting can cause this to happen. You may want to check those settings, but there could be something more going on to cause this to happen. I would suggest contacting Promethean's technical support. They are wonderful and will be able to help you troubleshoot. The technical support number for the US is 888.652.2848 ext. 3.

Check your wires very carefully. I had a teacher with a(n) USB cable that was stretched taut. That caused the same behaviour.

Check your driver number too. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and look for Activ Driver in the list. If its earlier than the one on the Support website (go to the Support tab at the top of the page), update your driver.
