Our school is about to purchase three boards. Does the software lisence agreement allow more than one teacher to be assigned to a board at a time? Without the software in hand, it seems impossible to locate the answer...We'll have only one computer hooked up to each board, but several teachers will need to be able to plan/develop lessons for the boards.

I can't wait to get ACTIV!

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure that the license for Activstudio that comes with an Activboard is open for development of flipcharts to any teacher at your school (at least that's what I have come to believe.)

It was originally 6 licenses per Actiivboard but it moved to to the new verbiage. It is not permissible to use the software on another brand of IWB for instruction. But for development, you are fine!

Again, that's my understanding (and could be different for different countries. I'm in the US).

If you go to "About Activstudio" there is a licensing agreement there under "Legal".

Lisa is right. The licence allows for Activstudio or Primary to be installed on any machine owned by the school or its employees (i.e. a teacher's home computer) for preparation purposes only. The software has to be removed if the employee leaves the school.

Thanks, Lisa and David. From what I'm reading, I think I really want to upgrade to Inspire instead. Will the same rules apply?

Should do.
