Hi all,
I downloaded Activ Inspire Professional to have a look. When installing, on final part installing Flash 9 I get an Error 1904. Has anyone else had this issue? I checked here but didn't find an answer.
I did a quick Google search to find some answers on other forums that suggest that it might be related to a MS Security update preventing Flash installation registering correctly.
Do any of the Promethean technical people have an answer?
Another comment if I may, I was surprised that when installing, XP reported the download didn't have a valid digital signature. Would have expected better from a company of Promethean's reputation and size.

Many thanks,
John.

I ran into this installing on my wife's classroom computer yesterday. I uninstalled inspire and all beta versions, installed the latest Adobe flash with DirectX 10, and ran a small delete inspire data ,script, then installed fresh and all was good. Call tech support, if they cannot help, email me.

That error is related only to the Flash install, so your ActivInspire installation should be just fine.

To fix the Flash poblem the best solution is to visit http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP

and install the latest flash version from there.

Also make sure you use 'Internet Explorer' browser when doing this to make sure you get the ActiveX version of it...
(Using a browser such as Firefox will get you the Plugin version which is the wrong one for ActivInspire).

Hi again,
Thanks to Neil and Bill for their replies on Error 1904. Neil's suggestion is simpler so I'll try that first and hope it sorts it.
Thanks again.
John.

Hi again,
I followed link that Neil provided and am sorted. Flash installed with no errors this time. Version 10,0,12,36 installed now. I didn't have any Inspire Betas installed, Bill's solution might be better for those who had.

Thanks again to Bill and Neil for their help.

Regards,
John.
