When working with the Activote Questions Setting in design mode, what is the 'labels' column for?

An Activote question page must contain 1 text object for the question, 1 text object for each answer and 1 text object for each answer label. The answer label is something like 'A' or 'a)' or '(a)' etc, ie it is a text object that indicates to the user which answer is which.

In Question Settings you then need to let Activstudio know the purpose of each text object by assigning question, answers and labels to text objects. If you use Question Master, it does all this for you, but if you are manually creating a question in Studio, you need to set all this up manually in Question Settings.
Try using Question Master to create one question, then in Studio look at what it has done in Question Settings and it may become clearer.

The only reason you would need to set anything in Question Settings is if you plan to export your results or want a correct answer to pop up as soon as students are done answering.
The question will be included in the excel export of the results if you have set it using Question Settings.
For anyone wondering... you can set the Question Settings for any page by right clicking on the page and choosing Activote Question Settings.
