Stacked Words

I downloaded a chart where there are words stacked and hidden behind a hat. Students are to drag the words and put them in the correct category. The problem is the words come out in order so there's no challenge to finding where they belong. I've tried re-stacking them (several times) and saving the flipchart, but they continue to come out in their original order. How can I save them in a different order?

When items are added (like text objects), they go in in layers with the last one on top (of that layer). If they are indeed "stacked" one on top of the other, you would need to click pull them out, select a few and change them to move to front or move to back and then re-stack them behind the item. That way they would seem to be random but they would always pull out the top one first followed by the next one in that layer.

Alternatively, you could make the object that they are behind bigger and put the text object behind where the are more randomly overlapped. That way they would drag from an area of the hat and it would seem more random.

The flipchart here uses that technique.
