My board bleeps!

Hi all - my board has starting bleeping every time it's switched on in the morning. It bleeps for about 5 minutes and then stops.Usually I have to reboot the pc as nothing works properly....

It's not the newest of boards but any ideas of what's going on would be very welcome!

Normally a board bleeps several times when it is re-powered, although not for as long as you describe.
It isn't really necessary to turn off the board overnight - I suggest you leave it on all the time during the school term.

When you say you switch the board on each morning do you mean turn the computer on or actually plug the board in by the mains each day? De-powering the board by unplugging it is useful to do every once in a while as it will reset the electronics on your board but I agree with Hilary, it is not necessary to do it every night.

+wave+The only time I have ever known a board bleeping is when its firmware was not quite as it should have been. It may be that something is amiss .... best suggestion is to ring Tech Support....+wave+

are you sure it's the board and not the projector- they start to beep when the internal battery goes.
