This new section of Planet called Activconnect and it allows you to organize and manage group projects, Use this forum to start up ideas and connect, then when you are ready, you can launch a vRoom!

vRoom is part of Ellumincate and it will let your Activboard become a virtual online meeting space, which you can use as a virtual classroom. It allows you to connect up to three users/classes via your Activboard and internet connection to share your desktop and flipcharts. This can be used to collaborate in joint lessons, professional development or teach to a remote audience.

Won't it be fun for two classes to be able to work and collaborate on the same flipchart at the same time! (And even "see" each other if there is a web cam involved!)

I think this is going to be big!

What do you think? Have you ever done this?

I used this with my Year 2 class and the Royal Aeronautical Society. It was a trial one before we video conferenced with their President Elect, an ex-concorde pilot. It worked great and it'll be interesting to see what other people come up with!

Can you point me in the direction of how to project my flipchart through Elluminate? I tried about a month and a half ago and thought I had to create something new in their software. I ended up doing a video conference with my class while away.

I have a vRoom and would like to use my ActivBoard in it. How do I begin?

Also, a quick way to find all the Activconnect stuff is to look at the main Planet menu under "Members." The first link is Activconnect.

Check out this flipchart. It is part of a presentation I created for Tucson. It gives step by step directions for sharing your flipchart through Elluminate. Let me know if you need anything else. Hope it helps! :D
