Forgot to say. You can have AP1 and AP2 on your pc/laptop at the same time, but it could have hard disc space implications and there would really not be much point as the interface of AP2 is so similar, people won't feel they need time to get used to it.

Margaret
In AP2 - will I be able to open a page with the spotlight on
This is not possible at the moment - which makes using the function to identify 2D shapes, for example, very difficult.
In fact , if you switch the spotlight on and try to go to the next screen without switching it off - you get a blank page.
This does not happen with the blind tool.

Hi Gary
I just tried this in both the current version of ACTIVprimary and ACTIVprimary2 - I noticed the Blank page effect you describe in the current version of ACTIVprimary - however when I move the pen back over the page the blank screen is replaced by the next page with the spotlight on. Try this on your current version - turn the page with the spotlight on and then move your pen away from the page turn button back to the page - you should then see your next page with the spotlight tool still on.
This process in ACTIVprimary 2 is actually much smoother and does not have the blank page issue that you have highlighted in the current version.
Thanks Margaret - Hooray!

And the crowds cheered!!!
Hooray! Hurrah!
I'll be on the phone in the morning - and at only £20 what a bargain!! ;)
Looking forward to having a play - are all the new features obvious?
Thanks Promethean [clap]

We have tried really hard to keep the interface as similar as possible. Within the software you will find a flipchart which identifies new features as compared with AP1.
Maybe we could encourage people to write in with their favourite new feature??
We could start a poll as each one is identified...
I might need to get Cliff to help me.... ???? BUT could be fun....
Well I suppose with all these things.... everything is relative....
I really need to get out more

Oh.. What a shame you have included a flipchart which identifies the new features of AP2 - I was almost (in some very sad/sick way  ) looking forward to playing a game of 'New AP2 Features Treasure Hunt'!! Mind you it would make a good one for a staff meeting - will have to think of an appropriate prize!!
And as regards writing in with your favourite feature - although it sounds a bit 'sad' dare I say it, I was only thinking earlier on when I read the post that it probably would be a good feature for the forum - a sort of a 'Here's one I did earlier' moment!!
And yes we do probably need to get out more so I'm off to the gym - but I'm sure whilst I'm on that treadmill to nowhere I'll be thinking about what all those new and exciting and surprising features could be! :D
