Video from Teacher Feature?

Hi,

I am wanting to download and embed one of the teacher feature videos into a flipchart I am preparing. The videos on the website are in Flash format. I have also access them through my iTunes application.

What I cannot figure out is how to get the video on my local hard drive so I can then embed it into a flipchart.

There must be something easy that I am overlooking!

Hi Lisa ,
There are several ways to do this.
If you are using Firefox, then you can install an extension called "Download helper" . Then when you view the flash video, you can download the video using this extension.

Another simpler way is to use Internet Explorer.
Open Internet Explorer and then empty your temporary internet files using the menu, Tools, internet options, browsing history, delete.
Then go the page where the flash video is.
After you watch the video, go to the cache directory of the browser using Tools, internet options, browsing history, settings, view files.
As you navigate this window you will see all your cookies and also the flash video file.
Simply copy this and save it on your hard drive.

They are also on YouTube... and there are plenty of tools to download them from there...

The easiest I have found is to use the following instructions that add a link in your browser bar that when you click it makes a download link magically appear in YouTube..

This downloads the video in an embeddable ipod compatible.mp4 format.

Hmmm. I see plenty of great videos there but not the teacher feature I was looking for!
