Images & resource library Q

Hi, i'm a new user of Activprimary software and I'm having a little difficulty, I'm hoping someone can help. I can't drag images from the shared resource library up onto the flipchart. A colleague of mine is having the same problem so maybe its a common problem. Its probably just a setting but i can't figure out which one. I have loaded the software onto my personal laptop also and there's no problem with that, its my class computer that has the problem. Anyone any ideas how to fix this problem?

It sounds it might have something to do with the way it was installed on your network as its common to both school computers. Are the shared resource libraries on the classroom machine or on the server?

Thanks for replying David, no they were installed on the class computers, not the server. There are 6 boards in the school, installed at the same time & all from the same CD, the other 4 don't have the problem.

Ooooh, Oooooh! I may have the answer.

Check the top of your resource library. There should be a selection of "drag and drop, "rubber stamp" and "grow objects." Perhaps grow objects has been chosen. Typically the default is "drag and drop."

Hi Lisa, thanks for your help. Unfortunately that didn't work, I have the Activprimary software rather than ActivStudio, so it doesn't give me this option in the resource library. I am beginning to think its a computer problem rather than the software as I have checked everywhere and its not in any of the settings.

Karen - are you actually seeing the images in the Shared Library, but they refuse to come onto the page?
The library structure in Activprimary is different from the Activstudio setup and accessing the Shared Images requires navigating to those rather than direct access as in Studio..

Hi Hilary, yes I can see the images in the library & browse through them, it should be quite easy to just drag up an image and drop it onto the page but nothing happens when I do this.

That's a strange one. If nothing else is working, I would try going to settings and hitting the 'reset all settings' button. If that doesn't work, perhaps reinstalling the software?:confused:
