ACTIVEVOTES WITH ACTIVESLATE

I need to know if I can use my activeslate to stop the voting process. I can start the activotes fom the icon on the toolbar with the slate, but then I cannot use the slate. I have to be at my computer to show the results of the vote.????

Well, it depends on which version of the Activotes and Activslate you have, I think.

In the past with the sets I had, I did find that once you start voting, the Activslate no longer functions so you either have to go to your computer to turn it off or up to the Activboard.

To work around it, you can either have your voting session timed (so it turns off the voting automatically after, say 30 seconds) or you set up your session to take first question only and the voting will automatically stop once everyone votes (but they all have to vote.) In either case, once the voting stops, your Activslate will work again.

The newest version of these products will work simultaneously, I'm told.

I have the new 2.4gh votes & slate and I can say that they do work simultaneously.

Another very simple work-around (I have used the timer solution for quite some time!) is to have a student up at the board to end the voting for you. We are always looking for ways to get more student interaction and engagement with the board, this is a super simple way to accomplish that! :)
