What is Activprimary?

I have been asked to investigate Promethean Boards. We have several SMART Boards on campus and I don't see many if any differences. What is Activprimary? Is it just software that allows for the creation of lessons. Please email me off the list at wimmerj2@scranton.edu to provide some information.
