Hi all,
I have asked several people in my district and other fairly experienced Promethean users and no one seems to be able to figure out what is wrong with my ActiVotes. Let me try to explain through just words. Hopefully, someone here will know the problem. FYI: I am a new ActiVote user (the old version) and had only used them twice in my room when this problem arose.
My class and I went to use the ActiVotes to take a test I created using Test Builder (yeah, I know...I now know how to create tests without using this boring program). My students got their votes out and saw that they were all still registered according to their codes (all names were green).
We went to start the test and when I clicked the ActiVote icon, the loading window (with the blue bar) came up. But nothing happened. The bar did not increase, it stayed gray. Nothing was loading, even after several minutes. I tried to close it out and do it again, but the same thing kept happening.
Then, my kids looked at their votes and noticed that their red and green light was on at the same time (but they weren't pressing anything). Some of my kids noticed only their red light was on (they weren't pressing anything either).
I made sure everything was hooked up to the board and the ActiVote light was on (I have the older rolling Activboard) and that was fine.
I haven't used them since b/c it caused such a large loss of time and I dont' want to have to lose so much time again to try it out again. Anyone by chance know what the problem is and hopefully how I can fix it?
