I know this is a simple question and would like to know how to create a resource pack. Does anybody have any guidelines on how to create a resource pack?
Many Thanks

Basically, you create a folder in your resource library and drag "stuff" in there. (Backgrounds and pages work a little differently as you have to right click on the page or background and select "add to library.)
I would recommend that you create the folder in the "Collections" area so you can add pages, backgrounds, images,...as this area accepts basically all types of resources. (You can create subfolders as well.)
Then launch the Activresource Manager. On the left of the screen, navigate to where your folder is and click on the icon "Export to Resource Package." If you have subfolders and want to include them, make sure that option is checked. You will need to name the new resource pack.
Then you can send that "file" to others and they can install it using the same Activresource Manager by selecting "import resource pack. (It will typically install wherever your original one was created. But they can have the option of installing it in "My..." or "Shared...")
Are you wanting to create a resource pack for Planet? If so, let me know and I can work with you on it. I develop a lot of them and most are collaborative efforts with Planet members.

Lisa, I am very interesting in creating resource paks . I have created and submitted a few background paks. I am just new at this, but my co-workers love them.

That would be great. If you can let me know what the Resource Pack will be about, I can start gathering stuff, too and we can perhaps combine them togehter (or get other ideas from Forum members!)

I teach oceanography and am also an avid diver with lots of pictures that I have printed out and put on my walls and as desktop backgrounds. I like the marine invertebrates and some of the other resource packs, but I want some of the basic physical stuff as well. I would be interested in working on a resource pack with a variety of those things in it.
I will look over the information that you put on here Lisa, would you be interested in helping create one??
