Is there a way to insert an animation from the Microsoft Office clipart gallery? For example, if you are creating a PowerPoint slide show, you can go insert > picture > clipart and then under the checkboxes - select movies. These aren't really videos, they are just animated pictures.

Hello,

I think this is the solution you searching for....

You can insert animated pictures, for example GIFs by inserting them as a video placeholder. Just right-click on the flp page and select insert videoplace holder and then select your animated picture. Be sure to save the picture as an embedded object in the flipchart. :o

This is what i have done before - i use other file link (as i find it easier)

Right click anywhere on the background
Insert - Other file link
Browse to your animated gif
Click Store in flipchart
Choose 'placeholder'
To start the animation - Click start automatically
Click on Loop
Size the window to the size you want it to be
Then OK
You should now have a working animated gif

Thanks. I really appreciate this advice. :)

BTW: cutting and pasting using the clipboard didn't work, so I had to right click the animated gif and save it to a file in order to put it in the video placeholder.

Then your directions worked!
