View Full Version : Showing ticker on dual screen
I just was asked this today from our spanish teacher. I have not had time to look into it.
The teacher is unable to display ticker on her dual screen setup.
She has a split screen setup.
any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at Activstudio Settings --> Multiple Monitors.
In here is an option to let the Tickertape display on:
- Specific Monitor
- Mouse Monitor OR
- All Monitors
By default the tickertape will always appear on monitor 1, the primary monitor (ie screen). You can alter this to 2 for the second monitor.
Setting this to 'Mouse Monitor' means that the tickertape will display on the screen that the mouse cursor is in when you start the tickertape. This setting should guarantee that the tickertape appears on the Activboard if using the pen to start it, regardless of which monitor is being projected.
Setting this to 'All monitors' will force the tickertape to span both monitors. One possible use for this might be that you can preview the scrolling words on one monitor (ie your desktop monitor) prior to your audience seeing them scroll into view on the second projected monitor.
This ability also relies in you setting up the physical relationship of the two monitors so that they are horizontally next to each other in your Display Properties, with Monitor 2 on the left of Monitor 1, and ensuring Monitor 2 is the projected monitor.
Hope this makes sense.
terrific!!
thanks Nigel.[clap]
