Thought I'd share this virtual pocket chart for making words too!

tcampbell,

Thanks for sharing this resource. I intend to use it for my small group rotations when students are doing word work. They already love using the board, so getting to build words using a virtual pocket chart will be even better. Thanks again![clap]

Tony,

Another great flipchart! Random question about it: Did you think about adding cards for EVERY letter, and then using the "Drag a Copy" feature? That way, you will have a template with all the letters on it already that can be used for every grade level, and can be used to spell words and phrases that contain more than one letter without placing more than one of each letter on your page (which engages their critical thinking, right?).

Let me know what your thoughts on, and good call on using it for small groups, Leteshia!

~Ben

I have another chart that does exactly that. This chart was built to be used with a Systematic Sequential Phonics lesson from the Cunningham book. I will be submitting these to the forum. I would like to submit some other things, but I need to know about the legality issues of posting certain items. I asked the question in another post.

Very cool! I do a lot of scrambled words in Spanish and I time the kids to see which group can unscramble them first. I thought it would be cool to use the flipchart for that and then have a volunteer come up to the board to drag the letters into the correct order. Thanks! [clap]

Erin,

I do hope you will post and share those resources here on Planet, but knowing you, I am already too late and they are already up!
