Hello!

http://www.prometheanplanet.com/server.php?show=ConResource.16988 Is the link to a flipchart I just put together to help teachers have ideas for how to incorporate vocabulary instruction into their AB lessons. It has tips and examples for how to use research proven strategies (Marzano) and tips for how to incoporate that into the Activ Classroom. I hope it is a useful tool for people to get ideas from. As always, I like feedback. :D

Tai Ann,

Our school is now using Academic Vocabulary as a focus for preparing students for standardized testing so that they are familiar with the terminology and academic vocabulary used on such tests. This resource is PERFECT for allowing me to enhance my vocabulary instruction while still using my Activboard. Thanks for posting it. I'm sure lots of other educators will find it extremely useful. As always, your resources are right on time. Thanks again!!![clap]

I used this strategy today with my 5th graders. I incorporated a couple of other things along with it and my students LOVED it. The kids had great ideas to share, "million dollar" descriptive words were coming from everywhere, and they begged me to continue using this idea! I didn't have them vote on the best ideas, but may do that at some point. Thank you for posting this flipchart.
