When you get done registering a class set of activotes are they registered to the ActivBoard or the ActivHub?
If a class set is moved to a different classroom can you simply plug in the ActivHub to the computer attached to the ActivBoard or is it necessary to reregister them to the ActivBoard in the new classroom?

If you are refering to the new 2.4GHz Activote and Activhub, all the registered information will be store in the Activhub.

When you from class to class, you just need to bring along your Activhub that had all your activote registered to. Once you plug in the Activhub to another computer, it will understand all the Activotes that you had registered before on another machine.

I have a set of Activotes that were pre-hub. Now I'm running Inspire and the votes won't register correctly. Do I now need a hub? How do I get just the hub?

Champ15, make sure you plug the hub into your computer before running ActivStudio.

Melanie, you cannot use a hub with pre-hub voters. Now your question makes me nervous as I also have a pre-hub set.

My set of 'legacy' activotes came with a hub in the box. I didn't use the hub with v3 of the software (thought it was there in for non-activboard users and could have thrown it away) but now Inspire requires it to be plugged in the USB port for activote use! I take it you didn't get one originally?

My legacy set did not come with a hub.

Ok, there are TWO different hubs.

One hub looks like an Activote with a tail. This one supports the "legacy" Activotes. And can be used when an Activboard is not available.
The other hub look more like a flash drive with a little antenna. It is required to use the new Activotes.

I believe that there is a document on the knowledge base about them. I'll look to see if I can find it and post the link.

See if this document from the Knowledgebase can help you understand which version of Activotes you have and which hub you have. If you have the older Activotes and a n Activboard, you should not need a hub since the Activboard has the transceiver (hub) built into it.

Now, as far as compatibility with ActivInspire, that I am not sure of.
