Text Mistake???

In training today we were discussing where to save your resources that you create and how the categories work. Activstudio will now let me put a text box in my resource library in my annotations, my lines, my shapes, and my images. It will even let me group an annotation and a text box and save that in my annotations. Is it supposed to be letting me do that? Is this an error in 3.7?

Not that I'm complaining! I'm fine with it letting me save stuff where I want! :)

I'm pretty sure that all of the resource categories are set up to allow the grouping of text with other things (like images and annotations). That way, you can put a label on an image, for example, and still put it in the image section of the resource library.

I can usually drag anything - grouped object, etc. into My Collections. I haven't tried text in My Images... weird. I will try it and see if it lets me do it b/c I have 3.7 installed as well.

Holli - Mine did the same. It was letting me drage text into - My Collections, My Images, My Text, My Shapes, My Lines, My Annotations. And it was just the word 'text' - nothing grouped with it.

I can't recall if 3.6 let you do this? I thought not, but I could be crazy. Hurricane Ike has gone to my brain:confused::confused:

Hurricane went WAY WAY east of me and my brain is lost as well! I thought the resource library was pretty picky about what it let go where.... ? :confused: However, it lets me put text all over creation now! :p Weird!

None of you are going mad (at least in this instance!!)
You've always been able to do this. June is right, it is so that you can add a resource to your library & also add a label for the resource to the same folder so they are always together so you're not searching around for it.
