activslate bizzare story

One of our teachers today was using the activslate ( the older RF kind that connects directly to the board).

5 classrooms away, another teachers was seeing the writing showing up on her board. The second teacher does not have an activslate.
Also the activslate has only been registered to a single board.

Any ideas on how to explain this?

That is odd. If you talk with Tech Support, I would be interested to see here what the answer is.

I would go back and double check that room without a slate and make sure that the computer doesn't have a slate registered to it. Even though the receiver is in the board, the RF Slates/Votes are registered through the computer. So it is possible that at one point that computer had the slate registered to it?

Hi scott,
The computer had never had an activ slate ever registered.

I went ahead and changed the device registration channels on the computer where the slate was registered in the first place.

So far is appears to have solved the problem.

Weird. Well, at least we know what the solution is. :-)
