I just got a new laptop (YEAH) but it has Vista and I am unable to load the software. I am not very computer literate. I usually just load the CD and it runs/sets up itself. I would appreciate any help or directions to load the software. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! ????????

I installed the software on my computer by going to Promethean World, looking for the link for Vista, and putting in the serial number off of my copy of the software. Promethean emailed me a link with all the files to download and I had no problems at all. :)
Good luck!

Holli,
Thanks. I tried that and I got a link for updating to use with Vista but I don't have an original program already on my computer. There was nothing about starting with no Activstudio on the computer so I am still without and starting to get the shakes. ;)

You will probably need to get a new CD from our guys in Support

Thanks Peter, but I have emailed them (twice) and I have not gotten a response. Do you know how long it usually takes to hear from them?

I didn't have Activstudio on my home computer, but I had the CDs from my work computer. I used the serial number off of those CDs to get the links to download the Vista version. Do you have access to Activstudio CDs at school?

Holli I have the CD's but I can't seem to find the Vista links. It has been one of those things that I can't seem to figure out. ????

Go to the bottom of the page and put in your serial number to your CDs.
Then it will have you fill in a questionaire with who you are, what you need (Vista), and your email address.
Then, it will email you a link to the place to download all the files.
Read the instructions carefully and install everything so you will get all the stuff for your resource library.

Here is another trick for loading on Vista. if you don't have 3.5 or 3.6 on the disk.. Instead of inserting the CD and letting it auto-run, go into Internet Explorer and find the .exe files for Activstudio. I don't have the disk in front of me, but I think it is in the Apps folder or one that is ASPE. Click on that and the program will install. You can do the same for the resources, I believe.
If you need the exact file names, PM me and I will look them up when I get back to my disks.
